The Girl on the Train
One of the few things a sick day can be good for is devouring a new book. It took me a whopping twelve hours to finish reading The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. I literally couldn't put it down and even though I saw all the reviews comparing it to Gone Girl I have to say honestly that while it was just as crazy a ride, Train was engrossing in a whole other way. The transition from each character's point of view made the story barrel along, much like the train that ties them all together. Next up is The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.
On another note, I have been spending a lot of time on Twitter even though I have to say it still confounds me and I'm not quite sure how it works. I've gained a number of followers in the last few days but I believe that's mostly because I simply retweet the things I see that I find cool from publishing houses and the Huffington Post. I'm not sure if that makes me interesting or exciting but it attracts followers.
And now, since I'm home sick yet again, I suppose I should be working on my own novel! So I'm off.
